Privacy Policy
Koncept Audio Inc. ("we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. It applies to the Koncept Audio website, the PRISM plugin, and related services (the "Services").
Information We Collect
- Account information: your email address and, if you provide one, display name. Collected when you sign up for the trial, join the waitlist, or purchase.
- License and device information: to enforce the 2-device limit, we store a device fingerprint (a hash derived from hardware identifiers), device name you provide, operating system, and plugin version.
- Payment information: processed entirely by Stripe. We receive a customer ID, order total, and metadata. We never see or store card numbers.
- Usage and technical data: IP address, browser type, referring page, and plugin activation timestamps. Used for security, fraud prevention, and improving the Services.
How We Use Information
- To create and manage your account and license.
- To process purchases and prevent fraud.
- To send transactional emails (receipts, trial reminders, device activation alerts).
- To send occasional product updates if you have opted in. Unsubscribe any time.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers essential to operating the Services:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Supabase — database and authentication hosting
- Vercel — website hosting and content delivery
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Rewardful — affiliate program tracking (only if you use an affiliate link)
Each of these vendors is contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only to provide their services to us.
Your Rights
Under PIPEDA (Canada), GDPR (EU/UK), and similar laws, you have the right to:
- Access the information we hold about you;
- Correct or update inaccurate information;
- Request deletion of your account and associated data;
- Withdraw marketing consent at any time;
- Object to or restrict processing in certain cases;
- Request a portable copy of your data.
To exercise any of these, email support@konceptaudio.com. We respond within 30 days.
Data Retention
We keep your account and license data as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we remove personal data within 30 days, except where retention is legally required (e.g., tax records, which we keep for 7 years).
Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted transport (TLS), encrypted data at rest, row-level security in our database, and hashed passwords. No system is perfectly secure — but we take this seriously.
Cookies
We use a minimal set of cookies for authentication and, if Rewardful is active, affiliate attribution. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Children
Our Services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we'll delete it.
International Transfers
We're based in Canada. Our vendors operate globally. By using the Services, you consent to your data being processed in Canada, the United States, and the European Union under appropriate safeguards.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.
